Your Eye Examination - 'The Eyesite Way'
Healthy Eyes
At Eyesite we care about the health of your eyes. We use the latest technology to provide you with a thorough eye health check as part of your eye examination. For example, we use state-of-the-art digital retinal imaging to record photographs of the back of your eyes each time you visit us, so that we can compare the results and detect any tiny changes quickly in the future. We have two levels of eye examinations available to our patients:
Extended Eye Examination
We like to give all our patients ‘Extended' eye examinations because we now have the opportunity to offer more tests than you would traditionally expect in an eye examination. We don't want to rush you, so we allow 30 minutes for your eye examination. We are committed to providing excellent clinical care, which means discussing fully with you any eye health issues and the various ways of correcting your vision.
Optomap Retinal Eye Examination
Now in addition to our Extended Eye Examination, we can provide our patients with the Optomap Retinal Examination to detect eye problems as well as diseases that affect not just your eyes (e.g. heart disease, hypertension, cancer and diabetes) Please see 'Our Technology' page for more details of this revolutionary eye exam.
The importance of eye examinations - did you know?
Having an annual eye exam is crucial in protecting your and your family's eyesight. At Eyesite we recommend our patients visit us for an eye examination every year so that we can detect any changes in the front of your eye so alterations can be made to your eyeglass or contact lens prescription. Your optometrist also needs to look at the back of your eye, the retina, to check that it is healthy and not damaged or showing signs of disease. Regular eye care, by means of annual eye exams can uncover both eye and systematic (entire) body problems.
So, protect you and your family's vision and overall health by having annual eye exams. We look forward to seeing you in one of our practices soon.
